content-marketing-shareable-contentContent creation is one of the most important pieces of the inbound marketing process. Without unique and valuable content, your online marketing efforts will be lacking. One of the best ways to draw in new consumers for your business is through content that offers them something that they need or want – typically, this is information on a topic they find an interest in.

Creating content that is easily shared is key to finding new clients for your business. Since the majority of people out there go online when they are looking for information about a product or service that they are in need of, it’s important that you be there with that info when it pertains to what you have to offer.

Before you begin with your content creation, take time to brainstorm several topics that you believe your target buyer would find an interest in. When you are speaking directly to the people who you know have a need for or an interest in what you have to offer, you up the odds of your content being shared with others like them. Use these ideas to create content that answers questions or solves problems that you know your target consumers have.

You can also take your cues from current events. Staying on topic with what’s relevant in today’s society is a great way to get your content shared across the online space. Piggyback on what you see in the news, tie in pop culture whenever possible, and stay on track with trends. This will increase your chances of getting tied in to the mix whenever the topic comes up. If the subject is top of mind for many people, when they see your content they will believe that others would be interested, as well.

Another thing people love to read is advice from the experts. You could conduct interviews with authority figures in your field and use that for blog content, or do Q&A type posts on a semi-regular basis. On that note, a consistent series of posts is something that can be a big draw. Pick a topic that you have loads of knowledge about, and create a regular post based on that idea once a week or once per month. For example, if you own a chain of bookstores, you may consider doing a weekly book review, or perhaps a shareable reading list based on a monthly theme that you release at the beginning of each month.

Something else to consider is the format in which you write your content. Shareable articles are often somewhat short in length, and written in a numbered or bulleted list form. Remember, people are short on time, and if they open an article and see that it’s several pages long, they aren’t as likely to read it. They want to be able to get their information and get going. Make it easy for them, and they will love you.

Content that is shared far and wide is one of the best ways to bring in new readers to your blog and, from there, new clients to your business. Ensuring that your content is easily shared is absolutely essential, and not as difficult as you may have previously thought. Use the tips above to get you started, and soon you’ll be publishing content that is shared more often than ever before!
